Kansas City’s secret is getting out. The recent issue of Texas Journey Magazine touts our town as the “Paris of the Plains”. The writer was completely surprised that she could eat something besides great BBQ. A couple of places she did discover were La Bodega and bluestem.

Garrelts a JBF Semi-finalist
Colby Garrelts, the Chef /Owner of bluestem, is on the semi-finalist list for the prestigious James Beard Foundation’s 2010 “Best Chef Midwest”.
The awards will be handed out in May in New York. Congratulations Colby and Megan!
