Hurray - It is Patio Time in KC!

Spring is finally is full swing in KC and most of us are so ready to soak it all up. We are fortunate to have so many fun places to enjoy and take advantage of being outdoors again.
One of the most popular decks is at Cafe Trio with a first-rate view of the Plaza, overlooking one of the city’s most recognizable fountains in Millcreek Park. Cafe des Amis’ lovely deck surrounds you with trees and a miniature version of the Eiffel Tower.
And as for the perfect patio setting - take your pick from a variety of venues with an atmosphere and menu to suit any outdoor lover’s palate. Zest has colorful umbrellas in a pretty suburban setting. If you haven’t been to Harry’s Country Club yet, you have missed an outstanding view of the downtown skyline and lively musical entertainment. Another awesome urban spot is Pizza Bella where the entire restaurant gets an outdoor feel when the front garage -style door is open to the street.
Paulo and Bill is charming with bright yellow umbrellas in a garden setting and Aixous’ patio seating is a crowded favorite in the Brookside area. For many years Yia Yia’s has been luring diners to enjoy the outside eating experience. If you are more in the mood for the Plaza, try the creek-side surroundings of re:Verse or another fabulous view of the Plaza from the classy outdoor dining area at the Grand Street Cafe.
Chef Burger is the place for a casual lunch or dinner with a view of all the action in the Power and Light District. And take your dog along for cocktails or a meal at Lill’s on 17th. Their charming patios in the front and back are canine friendly.
On that occasional rainy day ( or regular rainy day as of late) dine in the “indoor patio” at Cafe Sebastienne. Surrounded by beautiful art in a spectacular building, the glassed ceiling makes you feel like you are outdoors even if the elements aren’t cooperating.
Happy Dining,
Jeanie
