Start making plans for treating the special Mom’s out there (aren’t they all special for one reason or another?). The restaurants will be gearing up for one of the busiest days of the year so make your reservations soon. Our list will keep growing as the menus are set so keep checking back.
Mothers Day, May 9th
The Gaslight Grill will be serving Brunch from 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., featuring a large selection of traditional Mother’s Day fare. Adults are $21.95 and children 6-12, $10.95. Dinner will follow at 5 p.m. with jazz in the Back Room beginning at 6 p.m. with the Lynn Zimmer Jazz Band. Call 913-897-3540 or go online for reservations.
The Majestic Steakhouse features more jazz and Brunchfor Mom. From 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. enjoy live jazz with Bram Wijnands on the piano and Bob Kindred on the tenor sax. Zest is cooking up another great Mother’s Day event for your family. They will be serving from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. so make your reservations online or call 913-381-5678.
Cafe des Amis also has a special brunch planned for Moms. Three courses of wonderful French cuisine will be served from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and the cost is $38 per person. A kid’s menu is available. Reserve online or call 816-597-6767.
Take mom to a Tea or Brunch or both at bluestem. The special Mother’s Day Tea is Saturday the 8th with seatings at 11:00 and 1:00. The cost is $25 for adults and $7 for children under age 10. Look forward to delicate pastries and tea sandwiches created by pastry chef Megan Garrelts. The Brunch will be Sunday the 9th from 10:30 - 2:30. Choose from their classic ala carte brunch menu.
