Put it on your calendar, tell your friends and set your alarm - the next round of our Kansas City Menus Gift Certificates go online early Thursday morning, April 8th. Coming Soon - The new Piropos Grille is to open April 16th in the original Parkville Piropos location. There may not be a more scenic view from any other restaurant in the area than this spot on the hill above Parkville. Highlights of the menu include grilled meats, seafood, fresh salads, black beans & rice and signature dishes from Venezuela, Mexico, Peru and Argentina.
The Grille’s hours will be: Tuesday to Thursday, 5-9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 5-11 p.m.
Happy Hour is Tuesday through Friday, 5-7 p.m., and features 5 specialty drinks, wines by the glass and 5 appetizers for $6 until 7 p.m. Call 816-741-9800 for reservations and additional information.
Now Open - the Bautista brothers, famous for Carmen’s Cafe in Brookside, have opened the Taqueria Bautista at 4116 Broadway in Kansas City. Juan and Francisco’s mom and namesake for their first Cafe, Carmen, at one time worked at the original California Taqueria on the city’s west side. She will be helping to recreate many of the best-loved recipes served at this new casual, quick-service establishment.
Also in the planning stages is a new Carmen’s Cafe at Park Place in Leawood. We will keep you informed of the opening plans of this much-looked-forward-to expansion of this area favorite.
